The great room of Sea Shells Beach House opens to the outdoor patio and pool and has cathedral ceilings with two lounging areas in addition to an entertainment center with surround sound and new flat panel LCD television with premium channels, digital reception and Apple TV 4K. The kitchen is stocked with all new supplies and small appliances commensurate with luxury standards, including a Nespresso machine, coffee grinder, abundant service ware, wine glasses, champagne flutes, martini glasses, top quality cookware, center-island wood table, expansive granite counters, dual dishwashers and sinks, and new Samsung French door fridge with ice maker/filtered water station.

Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own private en-suite bathroom and flat panel televisions with AppleTV. A convenient separate office provides a large desk, WiFi, office supplies and multi-function printer. There are two laundry centers. Use of the two-car garage is available.

The single level design of Seashells Beach House provides very comfortable living for guests with limited physical movement. This property can be enjoyed by guests using a wheelchair although it is not specifically outfitted for special needs.

Immediately south of Sea Shells at the Maui Ka'anapali Villas Resort is fantastic oceanfront casual dining restaurant and bar, Castaway Cafe, that serves up delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The main Ka`anapali Resorts strip and Whaler's Village is accessible by the Ka'anapali Trolley that will pick you up in front of the nearby Maui Ka'anapali Villas Resort, or you take the a 1-2 minute car-ride or trek on foot some distance down the beach through the Sheraton Ka`anapali Resort, then along a paved pedestrian walking promenade that hugs the coastal beach. We reserve the right to request (and receive prior to accepting a reservation), actual written proof of birth date (month/day/year) for any toddlers or infants a family wishes to have excluded from the total guest count.

Housekeeping Services

Our villas are extremely well stocked with an abundant supply of towels, blankets and extra bed linens, along with soap and cleaning products. There is plenty of inventory to suffice for several days. There is a laundry room within Your Own Private Paradise residence that provides a washer/dryer, laundry soap and supplies, iron/board, sewing kit, and other generous supplies. Personal laundry, clean up in the kitchen after cooking or meals, and grill cleaning, are not performed during occupied housekeeping services, unless arranged in advance and paid for separately.

For details about the inclusive no-charge (complimentary) housekeeping services provided with your reservation, please refer to the rental cost quote provided to you at the time of first placing your reservation. You will receive information about the housekeeping schedule (dates and times) upon check in. No housekeeping service on national holidays. Inclusive housekeeping service may vary based on rate paid or length of stay or property. Limited properties provide cleaning every day. Most provide one “deep” cleaning every 3-4 days based on a minimum rental term of 6 nights at advertised rate.

Reservations with inclusive housekeeping receive the following assistance per housekeeping service:

Change bed sheets and pillow cases, re-make beds, launder linens off-site
Decorative bed pillows are placed in the closet for your convenience
Replace stocked soap and paper products and replenish toiletries
Remove trash/garbage
Change bath towels if left on the floor or in the tub to be laundered off-site
Start a wash for small towels including kitchen towels
Wipe off bathtubs, sinks and counters
Surface cleaning following by a sweep/vacuum of floors and carpets in traffic areas
Wipe off outside furniture and counters.
Clean entry and patio floors as needed
Light kitchen tidy up

Additional "a la carte" housekeeping service is $65 per hour per person with a 2 hour minimum or per requested task list. Advance notice is requested. Subject to availability.

Beach & Ocean Access

Access to world-famous Ka`anapali Beach is mere steps from the home's private beach-side backyard and pool. Walk out directly from Sea Shells Beach House onto North Ka`anapali Beach, a beautiful golden-sand beach that stretches several miles in either direction. The beach's beauty is unparalleled and the crystal clear blue, swimmable ocean is perfect for lap swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, stand-up paddle, kayaking, or just floating along. Enjoy long walks along the beach boardwalk, make lifelong memories of building sandcastles with the keiki (kiddos) or have a spontaneous romantic evening or two spent watching the setting sun or stargazing at the at water's edge. Situated between Maui Ka`anapali Villas and Kahekili (aka Old Airport Beach), this stretch of North Ka`anapali Beach is less crowded than hotel/resort area located past Black Rock, an ancient cliff south of the vacation residence.

Pool

Enjoy Sea Shells' large heated, lava-rock adorned free form lagoon swimming pool located on the beach side of the property. Dense and tall foliage and a locking gate keeps the pool private; however, the pool is NOT childproofed with a gate or cover. The pool is heated to 82 degrees maximum year-round.

Outdoor Spa

Large, separate 4 - 6 person hot tub spa, professionally serviced weekly, that overlooks the pool and views towards the ocean.

Air Conditioning

Central air conditioning throughout with multiple zones and ceiling fans in all rooms. Air Conditioning should set to cool at 70-72 MINIMUM to prevent the system from freezing up or other damage. Most homes and villas in Hawaii are equipped with residential grade equipment which DO NOT provide bottomless cooling temps. Cooling is available to a reasonable temperature, usually in the 70-72 range on the very low end. Most guests find that a setting of 72-74 is very comfortable once a unit has been allowed to cool down and with doors and windows closed.

BBQ

There is a built-in stainless propane BBQ grill, beverage fridge and large counter area under the outdoor covered patio.

Entertainment

All bedrooms and the living room have digital cable service with a premium channel selection. The living room has Netflix and a new flat panel LCD television, HD digital cable reception with premium channels, Apple TV 4K, iPod dock, DVD and CD with surround sound and speaker controls in various rooms of the house.

Dining

Indoor wood dining table for 6 guests. Facing the kitchen there are several more casual bar stools at a large semi-circular granite counter. Outdoor patio dining is available under cover or out under the stars by the pool. You are also encouraged to take trays and snack or dine in the sand on the beach at sunset!

This home is located in a quiet residential area. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am.
The swimming pool is not fenced or covered.
The beach in front of Sea Shells is public. There is a public walking path that passes between the sandy beach and the vegetation line of the Sea Shells property.

SPECIFIC RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS STIPULATED BY MAUI COUNTY AS A CONDITION FOR GRANTING SEA SHELLS BEACH HOUSE A SHORT-TERM (Vacation) RENTAL PERMIT/LICENSE:

Not included are long distance phone (unless a property offers a fixed price monthly unlimited long distance calling plan, security/damage/incidentals/activity deposit, extra guest-requested pool, spa service or yard cleaning, personal laundry, extra housekeeping other than noted, food or beverages, CSA Vacation Rental Insurance, lei greeting, airport greeting, transfers, transportation, auto rental, rental bedding, child care supplies, child proofing services, sightseeing, tours, activities, baggage handling at airport or at villa, sports and water recreation supplies, replenishment of paper & soap products other than initial supply, and any other items or services not specifically listed as included.

Rates do not include taxes: State of Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax (10.25%), Maui County Transient Accommodations Tax (3.0%), and the combined State of Hawaii and Maui County General Excise Tax (4.712%) are applied to the rental rate and additional charges quoted. If the tax percentages are changed by the State of Hawaii or County of Maui after a reservation is confirmed, we will contact you to collect the additional amounts due.
Standard Policies: Respect the stated maximum occupancy allowed please! This is very important, as all private homes in our collection are the valuable and beloved second homes of individual private owners. The availability and future right to enjoy our multi-million dollar vacation homes is conditioned upon each guest respecting the owner's pre-disclosed specific terms and conditions. Remove your shoes upon entering your home, as Hawaii's volcanic soil can stain carpets, tile, and fabrics. Step outside to smoke please. No pets on property. Rinse off sand and sun lotions before walking on interior floors sitting on furniture. Sun products will stain upholstery and linens and may damage furnishings. Weddings, receptions, and gatherings are strictly prohibited on any of our properties, due to residential zoning codes which discourage non-residential use, boisterous use causing noise complaints, excessive occupancy causing parking problems in the neighborhood, or any use involving additional non registered guests on the property.
Cancellation Policy: REFUND & CANCELLATIONS: GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE INITIAL PAYMENT BY GUEST IS NON-REFUNDABLE, UNLESS THE PROPERTY IS DAMAGED BY A CAUSE OTHER THAN GUEST NEGLIGENCE, OR IF THE PROPERTY IS OTHERWISE RENDERED UNFIT FOR HABITATION AND NO ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE PROPERTY CAN BE ARRANGED. IF GUEST CANCELS THIS RESERVATION, A REFUND OF GUEST'S INITIAL PAYMENT MAY BE MADE, LESS A PRE-DISCLOSED CANCELLATION CHARGE, BASED ON THE GROSS RENTAL AMOUNT AND TAXES ORIGINALLY DUE FOR THE RESERVATION, IF THE ACCOMMODATION IS RE-RESERVED BY ANOTHER PARTY FOR THE SAME DATES AND AT THE SAME RATE. GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT OWNER/AGENT/PROPERTY MANAGER HAS NO OBLIGATION TO RE-RESERVE UPON GUEST'S CANCELLATION, ALTHOUGH REASONABLE EFFORTS MAY BE EXPECTED. LODGING CANCELLATION COVERAGE IS AVAILABLE FROM INDEPENDENT PROVIDERS AND IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THIS RESERVATION MAY BE CANCELLED BY THE OWNER/AGENT/PROPERTY MANAGER, IN THE EVENT THE PROPERTY IS WITHDRAWN FROM A RENTAL PROGRAM AND IN THAT EVENT, THEIR LIABILITY TO THE GUEST IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT OF RENTAL MONIES PAID TO DATE ON THE ACCOUNT, AND SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT COVER THE COST OF AIR TICKETS AND OTHER TRAVEL COSTS.
